Privacy Policy

This policy explains what MeraPatra collects when you buy and create a Ganesh Chaturthi invitation at merapatra.in, why we collect it, and what we do not do with it.
What you give us
When you create an invitation you enter, and we store, exactly these details:
- Your family name and welcome message
- The dates and times of your four events (Aagaman, Sthapana, Bhajan Sandhya, Visarjan)
- Your venue name, address and an optional Google Maps link
- An optional WhatsApp number, used only to put an RSVP button on your invitation
You choose this content and it is published on your own invitation page. Please do not enter anything you are not willing to share with the guests you send the link to.
What we collect automatically
- A session cookie (
mangalam_session) that keeps you signed in to your own purchase while you fill in your details. It is required for the site to work and carries no advertising data. - Payment records: the order ID, payment ID, amount, currency and payment status returned by Razorpay.
- Server logs and analytics: standard web request information, and Google Analytics for aggregate visit statistics.
Payment information
We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN, CVV, or bank credentials. Payments are processed entirely by Razorpay Software Private Limited, a payment gateway authorised by the Reserve Bank of India. We receive only a confirmation that a payment succeeded, plus the reference IDs needed to match it to your order. Razorpay's handling of your payment data is governed by their own privacy policy.
Who can see your invitation
Your invitation lives at a long, randomly generated web address that is not listed in any directory. We ask search engines not to index invitation pages, and they carry a noindex instruction for that purpose. However, anyone who has the link can open it without signing in — that is what makes it shareable. Treat the link the way you would treat the invitation itself.
What we do not do
- We do not sell, rent or trade your details to anyone.
- We do not send marketing messages to the WhatsApp number you provide. It is placed on your invitation for your guests, and nothing more.
- We do not contact the guests who open your invitation.
How long we keep it
Your invitation and its details are kept so your link keeps working for your guests. If you want your invitation taken down and its details deleted, email us from the address you used at checkout and we will remove it, normally within 7 working days.
Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct them, or ask us to delete them. Write to us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable period. If you are in India, you have these rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Children
This service is sold to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
